Diving
Dolphin Adventure

Course:
We launch from the sheltered harbour and head north to Limestone Reef. From Limestone, we head south toward the Bluff, crossing the harbour mouth. We go as far as the old whaling station, to the area known as Blood Reef before steering a coarse back to Vetch's.

Content:
Besides the viewing of the dolphins, information is providing on the rich history of the area in and around the Durban harbour: Vetch's Pier, the legendary 1000 pounders shark fishing club, the wreck of the Ovington Court, Blood Reef and the shark nets.

Duration:

The round trip is about 45mins to 1 hour, depending on the conditions and mood of the dolphins. We do not launch when conditions are poor as this is no fun for us and ultimately a wet and uncomfortable experience for you!

What to bring:

  • Water proof/wind resistant jacket
  • Small bottle of water
  • Hat and sunglasses

If you suffer from motion sickness, or you are not sure if you suffer from motion sickness, we recommend taking some sort of preventative. (A relatively cheap and natural preventative are ginger tablets)

NB: PLEASE BRING SOME SORT OF WATERPROOF PROTECTION FOR YOUR VIDEO OR STILL CAMERA - we will not be responsible for any damage caused with this regard.
